ESQUISITO

A fresh website design for TikTok's favorite premium tequila brand. Esquisito prides itself on a specialized process for making their signature Resposado tequila, all without additives. Esquisito prides itself on their quality and uniqueness as a product and deserve a website to match!
Timeline and Specs
Two weeks for web prototype.
Background
Esquisito is looking to revolutionize and reinvigorate the beverage market. Although they have a large social media following, potential customers don't have a dedicated space to learn about Esquisito and their product. They need a space for users to engage with the product and to inform them about new releases of Esquisito tequila.
Problem statement
Current and prospective users currently do not have an effective,  engaging, and user-friendly means to learn about Esquisito and its product. Esquisito currently has no way to keep users informed on the brand—including current and upcoming sales of Esquisito tequila.
Solution
Create an appealing, engaging landing page where users can learn about Esquisito and it's superior distilling process. Users also need a means to stay informed on upcoming releases or “drops”.
The Process
Understand
Define & Investigate
Esquisito already has a solid social media following and a customer base, but needs a space to represent the brand and engage with customers.

This involves understanding the product—Esquisito tequila—and its audience. By asking questions about what the website wants to achieve—for the product and the brand—we are able to establish what we need to do.
After determining the purpose of the site and the needs of the user, we are able to begin the process of honing in on and defining the goals of the website.

We then create a more succinct statement that will allow us to create a design that will effectively communicate the goals and mission of Esquisito, while also allowing users to engage with the product and the brand.
Translate & Materialize
Evaluate
The page always needs at least a few “must haves”, these would include descriptions of Esquisito's unique distilling process, their mission, and further information on their product(s).

Here we also decide on form and stylistic elements, i.e how the page will look to best represent Esquisito and our defined goals.
After building the hi-fi wireframe we had to see whether the design fulfills our goals for the landing page. We also determine any changes that should be made to align the design with user needs and our problem statement.

Some changes were made to layout for consistency as well as to certain elements for contrast and readability.
Takeaways
  • Get to know the brand the and the product before beginning a project—and make sure you design aligns with them.
  • There are many ways to represent a brand visually and textually—but they are definitely not all equal.
  • Colors can take away just as much as they can add, so be careful with color choice.
  • Prioritize readability and contrast—never forget the Nielsen's heuristics
